Reading: Ages in Chaos by Immanuel Velikovsky

December 29, 2014 § Leave a comment

Whew, it’s been a while since I posted something. I’ve been busy!

So I recently completed an Art History course as part of my major at university which covered Prehistory up until the 1800s. Although I learned plenty, it’s what I didn’t learn that intrigued me about the course. It has been a few months since I wrote the final exam for that course and fast forward to now, here I am reading a book by Immanuel Velikovsky, called Ages in Chaos. Published in the 1950s, the book is a compilation of Velikovsky’s controversial views, backed by solid geological and scientific evidence, surrounding the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. It’s essentially an attempt to put into place an event that, in Velikovsky’s words, “should belong to both histories and thus supply a connecting link.” (Ages in Chaos, Pg. 4)

Ages in Chaos is a profound read for anyone who questions historical events (and how they played out) as they’re taught in school or university.

Velikovsky wrote this book as an answer to the backlash he received following Worlds in Collision, in which he proposes, again with proper astronomical data and scientific evidence, that a worldwide cataclysm did occur at some point in time which are foregrounded upon in some Biblical, Quranic narratives, and incidents found in religious scriptures around the globe. Emphasis on the word “proper” there as we now know that the scientific community is as guilty of corruption as anyone nowadays. So there is a fine line between what mainstream science considers “proper” and what “proper” really means.

Recent Ottawa shooting a strange coincidence

Being a proud Canadian citizen I’m always met with shock and awe when something of this level takes place in the city. Well, I’m shocked no matter where it happens but it’s different when it hits so close to home, you know? No doubt that many of you are aware of what’s happening in Ottawa. Specifically, at Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Shots were heard and buildings around Parliament are now under lockdown with many MPs taking shelter in them.

Coincidentally, this happened on the exact day that Malala Yousafzai’s honorary citizenship ceremony was supposed to take place. And now it has been cancelled. Okay, maybe it was circumstantial. But get this…

Just last night our local news channel CP24 ran a story featuring police officials warning citizens that security measures had been increased from Low to Medium. Isn’t it funny how every time they warn about something bad, something bad happens. This occurs too frequently to just be evidence of Murphy’s Law at work. I remember telling my brother, “Bro, stay safe, I have a gut feeling that something bad is about to happen.” And above all, it was found that the one of shooters – who was soon shot dead – was a “recent” convert to Islam. What are the odds of that? Perhaps a better question would be where he converted to Islam and got his teachings from? I can’t think of any mosque in all of the province of Ontario that teaches its newly-converted Muslims to go out and shoot people. On the contrary, the verse of the Qur’an, in Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:32 where it is stated…

“That if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or to spread corruption in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.”

…is one of the first verses taught to the new Muslim.

Maybe something is amiss. Sound off in the comments below.

NO HATE, PLEASE. IT’S EMBARASSING!

Ghosts aren’t really ghosts…

The number of paranormal TV shows that are airing worldwide is staggering and it’s amazing to see how differently everyone approaches the subject. For the past few days I’ve been watching some Pakistani/Indian paranormal investigation shows and you wouldn’t believe how interesting they are compared to shows like Destination Truth, Ghost Hunters etc. In our culture (Indian/Pakistani), it is a given that there are entities that co-exist with us. The Hindu religion strongly believes in reincarnation and the ability of unsatisfied spirits of the dead to roam the earth. While in Islam, it is taught that the dead do not come back from the plane of existence that they reside in post-death. This belief coincides with Christianity, Judaism and other monotheistic religions. The Jinn aka Djinn/Demons/Fallen Angels are a large part of the monotheistic belief system. In scientific terms, as coined by Dr. Jacques Vallee, Dr. John Mack, Carl Jung and such, these entities are inter-dimensional. They co-exist along with our plane of existence and are able to manipulate themselves into any form that they choose.

According to the Qur’an, the  Jinn are made of a smokeless fire  but are also physical in nature, being able to interfere physically with people and objects and likewise be acted upon. (Wikipedia) [Qur’ān 15:27] Sound familiar? It wouldn’t be very difficult for them to manipulate themselves according to the beliefs of a certain people, or the history of a certain place, all for the sole purpose of deceiving and even outright unsuspecting people. We know that there are electromagnetic fields all around us, hence the New Age concept of “vibrations”, “positive and negative” energies. These entities exhibit electromagnetic qualities. Further evidence that they exist. Why else would EMF readers go haywire? So when people see an apparition of a person who is supposed to have died long ago, people are actually being deceived on a massive level by the Jinn.

Just a thought.

Cheers!

On my way back today I was met by two representatives from Because I Am A Girl – an organization with aid programs all over the world. I could tell that the individual I spoke with, whom I will call Z, was very passionate about what she was doing. Z was trying to spread awareness of a very important issue: Female Genital Mutilation. While many believe that this harrowing problem only exists in Africa, it is a global one. I commended her for her decision to get out there and do something about it! If any of my readers are interested, there is a way you can sponsor the cause and save innocent girls from being abused around the world. I’ve linked their site above.

After about 10 minutes or so of listening to her talk about the issue and how I could help the cause, I told her a bit about an equally-disturbing phenomenon that I have been looking into recently. I wrote a short post about it a while back and it has to do with the strange disappearances of children (and adults) in or around national parks in North America. I told her of the statistics: 900,000 people gone missing in 2013 alone. That fact was enough to get Z in an attentive state. You could see how perplexed she was on hearing this by the way her jaw subtly dropped and the slight widening of her eyes. She didn’t hold back on letting me know what (or who) she thought was behind it all. Her words were simple, “this sounds cult-related.” I replied, “I agree.” I then told her that the million dollar question, however, was if the government was in on it. I referred her to David Paulides’ Missing 411 books and she readily wrote the names down. Before parting ways, I told her that to do what she can to raise awareness of this mystery as part of a future project. Although I highly doubt that will be happening since whoever is at the helm of all this will not want word to get out. We all know how this goes. Right?

So I just thought of letting you guys know and at the same time update my somewhat dormant blog. Let me what you think!

Why the Inter-Dimensional Hypothesis makes sense when it comes to Bigfoot

September 26, 2014 § 2 Comments

Recently I received a very interesting comment by a user named Gatekeeper. The comment was made under one of my earlier blog posts titled, “On the subject of Bigfoot being an Inter-Dimensional Entity“. The post referred to an article published on Mysterious Universe by paranormal researcher and author Nick Redfern. As the title suggests, the article had to do with the explanation that Bigfoot is more of an inter-dimensional entity rather than a flesh and blood animal.

Gatekeeper said the following:

Before we begin here, first thing I want to point out this is all speculation unless someone here has already travelled between dimensions or talked to Bigfoot. I say no to inter-dimensional and here is the number one reason. If you are eating, drinking and breathing then your biology is meant to survive in this environment. I can’t image the odds for an exact earth like environment to exist on another planet let alone within another realm. Until another earth like environment within another dimension is shown to me where I can enter into, Sasquatch remains an earth bound creature. Second what organism can generate enough energy at will to rip a hole in time and space? But if you going with the inter-dimensional thing then there must be portals around for it to travel through which then open up something new that I will not get into. Now before continuing just to remind everyone this is speculation. I would give more credit to the theories that Bigfoot holds supernatural abilities or a shape shifter than consider inter-dimensional being. What I propose is a small population of humanoid species with human like intelligence that have been able to out smart everyone.

I replied to the comment and clarified what the inter-dimensional hypothesis truly entails:

Hello Gatekeeper,

That’s an interesting theory. But let me clarify, in case you weren’t aware of this, the shape-shifting qualities of these entities are included in the inter-dimensional hypothesis (IDH). Also, when we say inter-dimensional, we’re not implying that these entries are from another world and that they can enter into our world at will. On the contrary, according to the IDH, this phenomena exists side-by-side our world, but in a different dimension of space and time. i will be writing a more elaborate response to this in a blog post later on.

Thanks for the comment, and again, interesting theory!

Cheers.

Gatekeeper replied in the form of a lengthy yet informative comment, the gist of which I found to:

Now the proposed idea that Sasquatch could be alien or an inter dimensional being is going a bit further in complexity to what may be a more simplified answer to why Bigfoot has been so elusive for decades. My self I believe Bigfoot to be plausible but if we assume the creature is real and why no had evidence can be found, then in looking at a simple explaination as an intelligence species with skills and knowledge in evading detection. Now if you go to the realm of the paranormal in explaining how Sasquatch hides from everyone, I would give more credit to believing the creature being is more supernatural then inter dimensional When I stated shape shifting in my earlier post, I define it as a supernatural ability as like werewolf in European legend. This means that an earth born human holds the ability to transform into Sasquatch then revert back. This is a one of the new theories I have came across in the past few years in explaining why Bigfoot cannot be found.

One of the things I’d like to say in response to Gatekeeper is that the inter-dimensional hypothesis encompasses much of what he has said. I think it’s just a matter of not knowing, no big deal. In essense, IDH proposes that there is another reality, which physics is now in the process of proving in the form of a multi-dimensional model, that runs along with ours. And that entities living in this reality are what we consider to be supernatural. The only difference is that science despises the word supernatural, simply because it cannot fathom the idea that there’s something in this universe that cannot be explained using physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics and the like. Hence, it dissociates the all-important link between the supernatural and inter-dimensional. Same goes for the spiritual. We know that there is a spiritual aspect to the world. It’s a given. But there’s also a logical aspect to it. These aspects thrive on each other and are connected. An atheist would, for the most part, like to believe that we die because of natural causes. While a religious person sees death as a window to the afterlife. It’s very much the same idea. I really hope this makes sense. If not, Gatekeeper if you’re reading this, let me know!

On to my next counter-point. The reason why I doubt that there is even remotely a flesh and blood aspect to Bigfoot is the fact that there are staggering similarities between Bigfoot and other creatures that have been sighted under very similar circumstances. Not just in the US but around the globe. Not only in this day and age but in perspective of history as well. In other words, people are describing their encounters with Bigfoot in the same way that people in Point Pleasant, West Virginia described their encounter with the infamous Mothman in the late 1960s. Same goes for Owlman and Man-Monkey in the UK. Or the big black wolf-like creatures that seem to walk on two legs in Cannock Chase, England. Here’s an interview with The Mothman Prophecies author, late John Keel, in which he makes the same point. But in a more credible way since he’s been out investigating. Unlike me, just reading books and whatnot. It’s about 8 mins but it’s entertaining. He also makes a brilliant connection between UFOs and Bigfoot-like cryptids.

Also, just last night I happened upon Jacques Vallee’s informative talk that he gave at TEDx Brussels. His presentation is titled, A Theory of Everything (else). We all know his as the father of ARPANET, but he’s also a very influential figure in UFO research. Not to mention a renowned advocate of IDH. He explains why an alternative way of thinking is necessary to understand our rapidly-changing reality.

More on this later when I get the chance.

Cheers, all. 🙂

David Paulides and strange disappearances in North American national parks

September 26, 2014 § Leave a comment

So I recently discovered a brilliant author. He’ been around for quite a while but I only  just found out about him and his spine-tingling works that surround the ominous disappearances of (mostly) children around (for the most part) North America. What’s even more striking about his investigations is that a staggering number of these children disappear at or around national parks! Rarely are the missing ever found and when they are found, the stories they relate – if they are able to recall – sound incoherent and don’t make much sense in rational perspectives.

If you watched the hit by Emmy award-winning HBO series True Detective then you already know one of the possibilities. I remember watching an old unreleased Discovery documentary (at least I think it was produced by discovery channel) which never aired. This can be found on YouTube and is called Conspiracy of Silence . On an unrelated note, I’ve typed this with the BlogPress app for iPad and found it eerie how the new iOS 8 smart keyboard knew I was looking for the word silence. I first heard about this documentary while watching late FBI Exec Ted Gunderson give a lecture on his discovery of a government conspiracy which involved ritualistic sacrifices of young boys and girls. The documentary is about, you guessed it, missing children. I believe it can still be found on YouTube. I have to warn you though, it is gruesome. Especially if you have kids.

Back on topic. A staggering number of people are going missing. Many without a trace. The circumstances surrounding them don’t make any sense unless you can put two and two together and conclude that there is in fact a conspiracy going on. David Paulides has a series of books out. They’re called Missing 411 and there are several editions. There’s a Canada edition as well. Just goes to show how serious this problem is. But I guess we are too busy fighting for our rights, you know like the ones we already have, to even bother batting an eye to a subject as crucial as this one.

Makes you think.

Are we really alone in the universe? What this phenomena says about our reality.

September 19, 2014 § Leave a comment

The UFO phenomenon has many paranormal overtones, that much I’ve made clear from my previous posts. But what does this say about our own reality? Are we any closer to answering the age-old question: are we really alone in the universe? I think we are. Although, the answer is not quite what you’d expect and many, especially fanatics of the extraterrestrial hypothesis, aren’t willing to accept it. In my opinion, this naivete is what’s been holding us back.

In the West we have this notion that it is either scientifically plausible or totally impossible and mustn’t be considered even on a minute level. Jeffrey Mishlove PhD interviewed Harvard Psychiatrist and Clinician Dr. John Mack on hit series Thinking Allowed. In it, Mack brings to light the fact that the Alien Abduction phenomena has several religious implications in that, we’re experiencing a ‘myth in the making’ or perhaps a new religion, as Misclove puts it. Obviously referring to the sociological influence that the UFO phenomena has had since its beginning. Here is the video.

Renowned occultist Aleister Crowley famously wrote in his (quite inhumane) ‘Book of Law’ that “Today they call them angels and demons, tomorrow they will call them something else.” Isn’t this true? Didn’t John Dee, occultist and adviser to Queen Elizabeth I, describe his demonic visitors as little men with big heads and big eyes? Aren’t the connections becoming clear? What if science has no way to prove these claims? What if science isn’t as reliable when it comes to the paranormal? These things can manipulate our reality; our reality includes scientific principles. So essentially, these beings can manipulate our scientific principles. Does that not prove the authenticity of (some of) our (monotheistic) religious scriptures?

We may not be alone in the universe after all. Maybe there are other entities – on our planet – that live parallel to us but in a different dimension of space and time. Being a level above our dimension of space and time would make it possible for such entities to flick in and out of our reality like step down one step and then back up a set of stairs. This, again, cannot be proven by science, at least in this day and age. But the evidence is there clear as crystal.

In the ne

On the subject of Bigfoot being an inter-dimensional entity…

Here’s a great Mysterious Universe article from paranormal researcher and author Nick Redfern. It nicely summarizes the more paranormal aspects of Bigfoot encounters. Check it out: Bigfoot: An Inter-Dimensional Entity.

Dragons, gigantic birds and other mythical creatures. What inspired them?

So as part of the course Global Visual and Material Culture at OCAD University, we’re learning about the dawn of written history and early settlements. The last two lectures have been very enlightening. We’ve gone from learning about cave paintings and how they may have been produced by primitive man to the conception of writing in Mesopotamia etc. What struck me most, and I raised this issue during our tutorial classes, was the notion of that, according to our belief, the ancients were crazy and believed anything was possible. This is highlighted by our interpretation of some of the art left behind. We always try to discredit the ancients based on an imaginary check-list we repeatedly bring upon discovering remnants of lost civilizations.

This check-list is a compilation of things that we have assumed about ancient man. Things like 1) These paintings may have been part of a rituals 2) They may reflect the perceptions of society that existed at that time etc. But what if the ancient man wasn’t as primitive as we assume? Take for example the depiction of dragons in Japanese mythology. What if the artist depicting these creatures on his/her canvas actually saw something like this or is affiliated with someone who witnessed this? Maybe dragons were seen in the skies of Japan hundreds of years ago, same as how Native American Indians saw the Thunderbird, a menacingly-huge, winged, bird-like creature that would swoop down and snatch you away from your parents for dinner.

Folklorist Thomas E. Bullard PhD, a renowned Fortean, came to believe that there was indeed a physical aspect of the mythologies that are recalled today as…well…myths.

If people did exhibit a primitive mind as we now assume they did, how can their basic imaginations conjure such elaborate stories? Surely, at one point in time, they can’t all have been there to frighten children or instill good values in them.

Makes you think…

I’ll be making further connections in a later post. Thanks for reading! 🙂

Science and the Unseen

September 3, 2014 § Leave a comment

The number of religion critics seems to be growing day by day. Which I don’t mind in the slightest as everyone has a right to believe in what they find reasonable. And I guess, at times, when you look at it from an atheist’s perspective, his/her criticism seems logical. We have enough going on in the world today to persuade anyone not familiar with religious sciences to take a stand against belief systems. Violence, for one thing, stands tall proud at the heads of those who claim to ‘believe.’ While amateurishly investigating the UFO-supernatural connection, I’ve found several points that argue against the average religion-critic’s opinions. And these I have found coming from a place of complete neutrality.

Physics has long investigated the notion of parallel dimensions, or parallel universes. Quantum physics, specifically, has argued that there is, without a doubt, a sort of mechanism that drives the universe. Could the existence of a God-like divine being be proven through this research? I don’t know. I have posed this question – because remember, I am a practising Muslim who believes in God Almighty – to put forth an alternative way of thinking.

In other words, what if the existence of God, if allowed by the Almighty Himself, could be proven through science? I’m sure many have asked this question but I can’t help but get the feeling that no one has. Everyone is so busy alienating the supernatural and scientific phenomena from each other that we overlook such a hypothesis.
