Why the Inter-Dimensional Hypothesis makes sense when it comes to Bigfoot

September 26, 2014 § 2 Comments

Recently I received a very interesting comment by a user named Gatekeeper. The comment was made under one of my earlier blog posts titled, “On the subject of Bigfoot being an Inter-Dimensional Entity“. The post referred to an article published on Mysterious Universe by paranormal researcher and author Nick Redfern. As the title suggests, the article had to do with the explanation that Bigfoot is more of an inter-dimensional entity rather than a flesh and blood animal.

Gatekeeper said the following:

Before we begin here, first thing I want to point out this is all speculation unless someone here has already travelled between dimensions or talked to Bigfoot. I say no to inter-dimensional and here is the number one reason. If you are eating, drinking and breathing then your biology is meant to survive in this environment. I can’t image the odds for an exact earth like environment to exist on another planet let alone within another realm. Until another earth like environment within another dimension is shown to me where I can enter into, Sasquatch remains an earth bound creature. Second what organism can generate enough energy at will to rip a hole in time and space? But if you going with the inter-dimensional thing then there must be portals around for it to travel through which then open up something new that I will not get into. Now before continuing just to remind everyone this is speculation. I would give more credit to the theories that Bigfoot holds supernatural abilities or a shape shifter than consider inter-dimensional being. What I propose is a small population of humanoid species with human like intelligence that have been able to out smart everyone.

I replied to the comment and clarified what the inter-dimensional hypothesis truly entails:

Hello Gatekeeper,

That’s an interesting theory. But let me clarify, in case you weren’t aware of this, the shape-shifting qualities of these entities are included in the inter-dimensional hypothesis (IDH). Also, when we say inter-dimensional, we’re not implying that these entries are from another world and that they can enter into our world at will. On the contrary, according to the IDH, this phenomena exists side-by-side our world, but in a different dimension of space and time. i will be writing a more elaborate response to this in a blog post later on.

Thanks for the comment, and again, interesting theory!

Cheers.

Gatekeeper replied in the form of a lengthy yet informative comment, the gist of which I found to:

Now the proposed idea that Sasquatch could be alien or an inter dimensional being is going a bit further in complexity to what may be a more simplified answer to why Bigfoot has been so elusive for decades. My self I believe Bigfoot to be plausible but if we assume the creature is real and why no had evidence can be found, then in looking at a simple explaination as an intelligence species with skills and knowledge in evading detection. Now if you go to the realm of the paranormal in explaining how Sasquatch hides from everyone, I would give more credit to believing the creature being is more supernatural then inter dimensional When I stated shape shifting in my earlier post, I define it as a supernatural ability as like werewolf in European legend. This means that an earth born human holds the ability to transform into Sasquatch then revert back. This is a one of the new theories I have came across in the past few years in explaining why Bigfoot cannot be found.

One of the things I’d like to say in response to Gatekeeper is that the inter-dimensional hypothesis encompasses much of what he has said. I think it’s just a matter of not knowing, no big deal. In essense, IDH proposes that there is another reality, which physics is now in the process of proving in the form of a multi-dimensional model, that runs along with ours. And that entities living in this reality are what we consider to be supernatural. The only difference is that science despises the word supernatural, simply because it cannot fathom the idea that there’s something in this universe that cannot be explained using physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics and the like. Hence, it dissociates the all-important link between the supernatural and inter-dimensional. Same goes for the spiritual. We know that there is a spiritual aspect to the world. It’s a given. But there’s also a logical aspect to it. These aspects thrive on each other and are connected. An atheist would, for the most part, like to believe that we die because of natural causes. While a religious person sees death as a window to the afterlife. It’s very much the same idea. I really hope this makes sense. If not, Gatekeeper if you’re reading this, let me know!

On to my next counter-point. The reason why I doubt that there is even remotely a flesh and blood aspect to Bigfoot is the fact that there are staggering similarities between Bigfoot and other creatures that have been sighted under very similar circumstances. Not just in the US but around the globe. Not only in this day and age but in perspective of history as well. In other words, people are describing their encounters with Bigfoot in the same way that people in Point Pleasant, West Virginia described their encounter with the infamous Mothman in the late 1960s. Same goes for Owlman and Man-Monkey in the UK. Or the big black wolf-like creatures that seem to walk on two legs in Cannock Chase, England. Here’s an interview with The Mothman Prophecies author, late John Keel, in which he makes the same point. But in a more credible way since he’s been out investigating. Unlike me, just reading books and whatnot. It’s about 8 mins but it’s entertaining. He also makes a brilliant connection between UFOs and Bigfoot-like cryptids.

Also, just last night I happened upon Jacques Vallee’s informative talk that he gave at TEDx Brussels. His presentation is titled, A Theory of Everything (else). We all know his as the father of ARPANET, but he’s also a very influential figure in UFO research. Not to mention a renowned advocate of IDH. He explains why an alternative way of thinking is necessary to understand our rapidly-changing reality.

More on this later when I get the chance.

Cheers, all. 🙂

Are we really alone in the universe? What this phenomena says about our reality.

The UFO phenomenon has many paranormal overtones, that much I’ve made clear from my previous posts. But what does this say about our own reality? Are we any closer to answering the age-old question: are we really alone in the universe? I think we are. Although, the answer is not quite what you’d expect and many, especially fanatics of the extraterrestrial hypothesis, aren’t willing to accept it. In my opinion, this naivete is what’s been holding us back.

In the West we have this notion that it is either scientifically plausible or totally impossible and mustn’t be considered even on a minute level. Jeffrey Mishlove PhD interviewed Harvard Psychiatrist and Clinician Dr. John Mack on hit series Thinking Allowed. In it, Mack brings to light the fact that the Alien Abduction phenomena has several religious implications in that, we’re experiencing a ‘myth in the making’ or perhaps a new religion, as Misclove puts it. Obviously referring to the sociological influence that the UFO phenomena has had since its beginning. Here is the video.

Renowned occultist Aleister Crowley famously wrote in his (quite inhumane) ‘Book of Law’ that “Today they call them angels and demons, tomorrow they will call them something else.” Isn’t this true? Didn’t John Dee, occultist and adviser to Queen Elizabeth I, describe his demonic visitors as little men with big heads and big eyes? Aren’t the connections becoming clear? What if science has no way to prove these claims? What if science isn’t as reliable when it comes to the paranormal? These things can manipulate our reality; our reality includes scientific principles. So essentially, these beings can manipulate our scientific principles. Does that not prove the authenticity of (some of) our (monotheistic) religious scriptures?

We may not be alone in the universe after all. Maybe there are other entities – on our planet – that live parallel to us but in a different dimension of space and time. Being a level above our dimension of space and time would make it possible for such entities to flick in and out of our reality like step down one step and then back up a set of stairs. This, again, cannot be proven by science, at least in this day and age. But the evidence is there clear as crystal.

On the subject of Bigfoot being an inter-dimensional entity…

Here’s a great Mysterious Universe article from paranormal researcher and author Nick Redfern. It nicely summarizes the more paranormal aspects of Bigfoot encounters. Check it out: Bigfoot: An Inter-Dimensional Entity.

Researcher Nick Redfern sheds light on the paranormal aspects of UFO encounters

Nick Redfern has quickly become one of my favourite authors on fortean subjects. He is an open-minded researcher who doesn’t back away from the high-strangeness of the bulk of UFO cases. In the following video, titled Nick Redfern on the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis (ETH), Nick explains why he doesn’t support the claim made by mainstream Ufologists that we are dealing with extraterrestrials from other planets. Rather, he believes that there is an esoteric aspect of it that is flat-out dismissed by proponents of the ETH.

Jacques Valleé talks about the Interdimensional Hypothesis in this interesting documentary

August 24, 2014 § 1 Comment

Yesterday, I watched this really interesting (and rather creepy) documentary on YouTube. About 1 hour and 30 minutes in, there is some audio taken from a radio interview with Jacque Valleé. In it, he says something along the lines of, “So you make I a list of hypotheses, this is obviously not a natural phenomenon, and so the extraterrestrial explanation seemed to be the best one. We know there has to be life throughout the universe, so why shouldn’t it be able to come her? Considering that it is millions, if not thousands of years ahead of us. But as you get more and more data , you realize that that’s not what the witnesses are describing. What the witnesses are describing in many cases, are physical, material objects that change shape, size and colour, appear out of nowhere, disappear into nowhere, and become transparent on the spot. In my opinion, if it does that, then it can be from anywhere, anytime.”

Note: the above transcription has been paraphrased.

Vallee (right) and Hynek (left)

Now, that is simply the gist of his argument. If you read his best-selling book on the subject called, Messengers of Deception, Valleé analyzes data that he has collected on his personal ventures across the globe investigating some of the most astounding cases ever. These cases, for the most part, involve UFO religions.

Jacques Valleé is no stranger to UFO research. He’s been doing this for decades alongside J. Allen Hynek. His approach, unique and scientific, makes more sense than the approach taken by Ufologists. In the same video above, Valleé says, “there is no such thing as one best case in any field,” and then, “…[you have to] look for patterns and that’s how the phenomenon reveals itself to you.” Looking for patterns is what many so-called scientists aren’t doing. One such scientist is Neil deGrasse Tyson, who I am a huge fan of. He makes physics a hundred times more fun to learn.

While I do agree with what he says in the video above, the way Neil makes his point is arrogant. I agree that people who are sighting UFOs jump on the E.T. bandwagon too quickly, but he should have addressed the fact that there is an element of genuine mystery that surrounds the sightings. Some can be dismissed as natural phenomena, or top secret government craft, but it’s the remaining 5-10% of the sightings that baffles figures like Jacques Valleé, John Keel etc.

John Keel’s The Mothman Prophecies is a good read

August 24, 2014 § Leave a comment

For anyone in the business of investigating paranormal phenomena, John Keel’s The Mothman Prophecies is an instant classic. Having heard brilliant things about the book, and of course, watching the 2002 film of the same name starring Richard Gere, I picked it up.

Keel takes the reader upon roller coaster ride filled with intrigue as he investigates the UFO wave of the late 60s and early 70s, and the emergence of huge bird like creatures that were seen in Ohio, going as far as Washington. The most prominent of these winged beings was dubbed Mothman. With hypnotic red eyes, the Mothman terrorized Point Pleasant, West Virginia, late at night.

The Mothman Prophecies cites scientists like Jacques Valleé while making the case that the UFO phenomenon, as well as the infamous Mothman, are of an inter-dimensional origin. I agree with the hypothesis.

More on this as I continue to read the book.

If you guys have any other books, media of this kind, let me know. And feel free to share your experiences in the comments 🙂
